富士山と川にかかる橋の大部分はシルエットとして描かれていますが、山頂は昇りゆく太陽の最初の光を浴びて、柔らかな赤色に輝いています。近くを流れる笛吹川は朝日に照らされて白く輝き、富士山の雄大な美しさを一層際立たせる鮮やかなコントラストを生み出しています。

This artwork depicts Ishiwa, once an important stop along the historic Koshu Kaido. The scene shows travelers setting out in the early morning twilight—some riding horses or traveling in palanquins, while others walk along the road.
Most of Mount Fuji and the bridge over the river appear in silhouette, but the summit glows softly red as it catches the first light of the rising sun. The nearby Fuefuki River shines white in the morning light, creating a striking contrast that highlights the majestic beauty of Mount Fuji.
This scene is part of the celebrated series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji by the legendary ukiyo-e master Katsushika Hokusai, capturing the atmosphere of travel in Edo-period Japan.
